AML, KYC and Compliance Policy
Purpose
NBN Bullion is committed to conducting its business responsibly and preventing its products and services from being used for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions violations, fraud, corruption, or other unlawful activity.
Customer Identification
Before accepting or completing a transaction, NBN Bullion may require customers to provide documents and information necessary to verify their identity.
For individual customers, this may include:
- Passport or national identification;
- Contact and residential information;
- Payment information; and
- Information about the purpose of the transaction or source of funds.
For companies and other legal entities, this may include:
- Business registration documents;
- Operating or import-export licences;
- Registered address and contact information;
- Directors and authorised representatives;
- Shareholding and beneficial ownership information; and
- Information concerning business activities and source of funds.
Due Diligence
NBN Bullion may conduct customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening, politically exposed person screening, beneficial ownership checks, transaction monitoring, and other compliance reviews where appropriate.
Additional information may be requested based on transaction value, transaction pattern, customer risk, payment method, country exposure, product type, or other relevant factors.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers must provide information and documents that are accurate, complete, authentic, and current.
Customers must not act on behalf of another person without disclosing that relationship and providing the information required to identify the relevant principal or beneficial owner.
Transaction Review
NBN Bullion may delay, suspend, reject, or cancel a transaction where:
- Required information is incomplete or cannot be verified;
- A compliance concern has been identified;
- The transaction appears unusual or inconsistent;
- Payment originates from an unauthorised third party;
- A sanctions or legal restriction may apply; or
- Proceeding could expose NBN Bullion to legal, regulatory, financial, or reputational risk.
NBN Bullion may be unable to disclose the specific reason for a compliance decision where disclosure is restricted by law or could compromise a review.
Record Keeping and Reporting
NBN Bullion may retain customer identification, transaction, payment, communication, and compliance records for the period required by applicable law or reasonably necessary for compliance purposes.
Where legally required, NBN Bullion may provide information or reports to competent authorities without prior notice to the customer.
No Guarantee of Approval
Submission of documents or completion of identity verification does not guarantee that a transaction will be approved.
Every transaction remains subject to applicable laws, regulations, compliance checks, product availability, commercial terms, and final company approval.
