Every sample is tested by two independent methods under one roof — fire assay for the definitive result, X-ray fluorescence for the fast, non-destructive check — so a figure we report is never taken on faith from a single instrument.
Sampling, weighing and testing follow a written procedure with a witness at every step. The item leaves our custody only after its result is recorded, never before.
Every report states the metal, the purity to two decimal places, and the method used, signed by the analyst who ran it: the detail a buyer or a refiner checks before anything else moves.
A result is only worth issuing if it would survive a second opinion. We test as if every report will be checked, because sooner or later, one is.
